Welcome to the CFHTLS @ CADC!

Data Access

The final CFHTLS Release from Terapix T0007 and all associated MegaPrime/MegaCam images and meta-data are available on-line at CADC.

Introduction

The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Legacy Survey (CFHTLS) is a major imaging project aimed at solving some fundamental astrophysical questions in our understanding of planetary systems and the distant Universe. More than 450 nights of CFHT time were devoted to the Survey between 2003 and 2008. The Survey makes use of the MegaPrime/MegaCam imager at CFHT.

The CFHTLS project is a collaboration between the CFHT corporation, le Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique de France, le Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique and the National Research Council of Canada.

The CFHTLS Steering Group was responsible for the planning and execution of the Survey.

Visit the official CFHTLS home page for more details.

Data Access Policy

All data associated with the CFHTLS project, including the final (T0007) release of processed data are publicly accessible through the CADC and Terapix

Acknowledgment text for publications

Please consider the following acknowledgement should be part of any publication significantly based on CFHTLS data. This can usually be done by using an asterisk by the author's name to refer to a footnote (or a text at the end of the article in the acknowledgements) stating:

Based on observations obtained with MegaPrime/MegaCam, a joint project of CFHT and CEA/IRFU, at the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) which is operated by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada, the Institut National des Science de l'Univers of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) of France, and the University of Hawaii. This work is based in part on data products produced at Terapix available at the Canadian Astronomy Data Centre as part of the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope Legacy Survey, a collaborative project of NRC and CNRS.
